Town of West Siloam Springs is accepting applications for the
Mechanic.
Hours of work Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
Job duties are but not limited to the following:
Mechanic will work on a variety of gas/diesel motor vehicles, fixing, repairing and keeping in a safe operating condition. Applicants will be responsible for all oil changes and keeping accurate records of such maintenance and repairs on each vehicle. Applicants will be responsible for replacing/fixing tires and flats on all town vehicles and keeping up to date logs of maintenance and repairs. Applicants will be responsible for the installation of emergency lighting and equipment on town vehicles and equipment. Applicants will be responsible for a preventative maintenance program on all town equipment. Applicants will be responsible for the groundskeeping and upkeep of the park, cleaning the park buildings, equipment and event center. Applicants should be able to do lawn maintenance, such as mowing and weed eating. Applicants would be subject for call outs (if) needed during evening or nighttime hours. Prefer applicant have working knowledge of heavy equipment such as tractors, backhoes, track hoe, road grader, dump trucks, etc. (But not Required). Applicants would be required to work in the heat, rain, snow and icy conditions.
Benefits include:
Starting salary is negotiable with Bi-weekly pay periods.
Employee insurance paid 100%. After 90 days of employment.
OKMRF retirement. After 90 days of employment.
