What You'll Do
- Perform a variety of public works maintenance duties.
- Assist with the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems.
- Maintain parks, streets, and public property through mowing, trimming, and general grounds maintenance.
- Operate and maintain equipment and tools used in daily operations.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies and call-outs when needed.
- Work safely in all weather conditions throughout the year.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL), or the ability to obtain one within six (6) months of employment.
- Ability to obtain Oklahoma Water and Wastewater Operator licenses within one (1) year of employment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Friendly, professional attitude and strong customer service skills.
- Experience operating heavy equipment—including tractors, backhoes, track hoes, road graders, and dump trucks—is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in temperatures ranging from -20°F to 120°F, including rain, snow, ice, and extreme heat.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay of $18.00 per hour, with higher starting pay based on qualifications and experience.
- Bi-weekly payroll.
- 100% employer-paid employee health insurance after 90 days of employment.
- Oklahoma Municipal Retirement Fund (OKMRF) participation after 90 days.
- Paid Time Off (PTO) accrued each pay period.
- Paid vacation after one year of employment.
- Eleven (11) paid holidays annually.
